Neural Therapy According to Ferdinand Huneke M.D

Neural therapy (therapy with local anesthetic) is used in Australia mainly as trigger point therapy for Muscular skeletal complaints but can also have a far greater effect in the body if it is used as Neural therapy according to Dr Huneke. This is because then it can have deep effect through the vegetative nervous system and allow self regulation and healing to take place.

History

Brothers Dr Ferdinand and Dr Walter Huneke, both German physicians worked in Dusseldorf as general practitioners.

One day Dr Ferdinand gave his Sister whom had since years suffered from Migraine attacks an Intravenous injection as he had done many times before. But this time something different happened.

Almost as soon as the injection had been administrated his sister claimed her Migraine was now gone. Including all accompanying symptoms like, nausea and light sensitivity had also vanished.

At this moment Dr Ferdinand realized something new had happened. Namely not just a suppression of the pain but a profound change in the whole person, whom was now sitting smiling and relaxed in front of him.

It turned out that he had accidentally injected the same product as usual, but this time made for intramuscular injection, which has a local anesthetic added. Both the brothers where concluded that there must be merit to work with local anesthetics. They where no scientists, but started working daily with pain patients using local anesthetics for their trigger point and joint injection therapy.

Years later they experienced the first “Lightning phenomena” now known as “Huneke Phenomena” and proved the existence of so called interference fields. Using this therapy the Huneke brothers were soon very busy and successful with patients coming from all over Europe.

This therapy was soon taught in seminars mainly by Dr Peter Dosch whom worked with the Huneke brothers and wrote the first textbook on Neural Therapy. I was lucky enough to be mentored by Dr Dosch in his clinic.

Science Behind Neural Therapy

Pischinger proved that extremely fine nerve endings of the autonomic nervous system and blood vessels terminate in the same fluid that surrounds every cell. This is where all vital cell functions are ultimate controlled by the nervous system.

They proved that bacterial foci, scars, foreign bodies, and injuries can produce permanent disturbances in this crucial regulating system of a cell.

These 'interference fields' can put the whole system under strain no matter where the injury lies. If the immune systems is already weakened and the likelihood to suffer from additional disease is increased. Pischinger proved that Novocain injection in an area causing an Interference field can switch of these disturbances immediately. Over 35 + years of practice I have seen this phenomenon many times.
